“The actual love story, as far as I’m concerned and as far as Ruth is concerned, her greatest love is Kathy. And I think actually the whole reason why she goes off with Tommy in the first place is because she’s so in love with Kathy as her best friend, and cannot handle the idea that Kathy would be in love with anyone else. And so, she separates the two people. But I think it’s literally the jealousy of seeing the person you love in love with someone else. And actually, in this case, I think it is in fact Kathy. It’s not so much Tommy. I think it’s these two best friends, and she can’t handle the idea that Kathy doesn’t want to be with her. But yeah, they’re best friends. They always have been. They have a very strange relationship. It’s two people who have grown up with each other since the word “go.” They’re like siblings who bicker, who piss each other off, but nevertheless, there is this huge love there. I think they are, as much as these characters can ever have, family, they are family.” - Keira Knightley

"The closet is not a function of homosexuality in our culture, but of compulsory and presumptive heterosexuality. I may be publicly identified as gay, but in order for that identity to be acknowledged, I have to declare it on each new occasion."

#I honestly love you.

#FAITH MY QUEEN #SERIOUSLY THOUGH THIS HBIC NEEDED HER OWN SPINOFF BECAUSE I IMAGINE IT WOULD JUST BE FORTY-FIVE GLORIOUSLY RAUNCHY MINUTES OF HER BEATING THE SHIT OUT OF DEMONS WHILE DRESSED IN ALL LEATHER AND CHAIN SMOKING ARTFULLY WHILE SHE PROWLED AROUND ALLEYWAYS WITH ANGEL FIRING BACK SASSY DIALOGUE AND TOTING AN UZI IN EACH HAND AND THEN WHEN SHE WAS DONE PAINTING L.A. WITH DEMON BLOOD SHE WOULD GO OUT FOR HOT FRIES AND BUFFALO WINGS AND BODY SHOTS OFF OF BUFFY AND THEN THEY WOULD GAZE MEANINGLY AT EACH OTHER ON THE DANCE FLOOR AND THEN DO THE SEX AND BAM CREDITS ALL THE AWARDS

"Alice is back, and that relationship develops. I don’t want to say how, but I will tell you that it is, uh, when I read it I was like ‘Ah… WOW. OK.” By the way, Alice is one of the [fan’s] favorite characters on the show and one of my favorite characters. And I’m sure Neil loves to write Alice because she’s so complicated. Ruth Wilson really channeled a certain energy this season that you will see that I think is quite interesting. But I can’t tell you whether John and Alice get together… you’ll see."

Alice Morgan, a celebrated child genius, completed her PhD in astrophysics at the age of 18. Now working at a London university as a research fellow, she has spent her life feeling different, special and freakish. For Alice, human existence is insignificant and life is futile and senseless – which is why, in series one, she felt compelled to murder her own mother and father.
Luther has never been able to convict Alice and they have subsequently formed a strange and uneasy friendship. In series two the balance has shifted and it’s Alice who needs Luther’s help and support.
